Most roof problems don't require a full tear-off — they require a system built to recover what's already there. That's the case Western Colloid makes for itself, and why we lean on them for restoration-over-replacement projects: a seamless, fluid-applied membrane installs directly over the existing roof, extending its life instead of ending it. The building stays occupied, and the owner avoids the cost, waste, and tenant disruption of tearing off a roof with useful life left. FARR systems install over BUR, modified bitumen, single-ply, metal, sprayed polyurethane foam, or gravel roofs, many carrying FM 4470 Class 1 approval and UL Class A fire ratings. Reflective ElastaHyde and SilverWhite coatings finish the system or stand alone as a simpler recoat, CRRC-listed and Title 24 Part 6 compliant. Restoration suitability is a condition assessment, reviewed project by project.

FARR Fluid-Applied Reinforced Roofing
Restore the roof you have, instead of tearing it off.
FARR recovers BUR, modified bitumen, single-ply, metal, foam, or gravel roofs in place — cutting the cost, waste, and disruption of a full replacement.
A roof replacement means tear-off, demolition, and disruption to the people working under it. FARR skips that: a polyester-fabric-reinforced membrane — asphalt emulsion with an acrylic topcoat, or fully acrylic — fluid-applies directly over the existing roof into one seamless, monolithic system, extending its life instead of ending it. Installation is water-based, with no toxic fumes to disrupt tenants or building operations, and many systems carry FM 4470 Class 1 approval and UL Class A fire ratings.

Reflective & Cool Roof Coatings
The recoat that pays for itself in energy savings.
ElastaHyde and SilverWhite finish a FARR system or refresh a roof on their own — CRRC-listed and Title 24 Part 6 compliant.
Not every roof needs a full FARR restoration — sometimes a reflective recoat is the right-sized fix. ElastaHyde white elastomeric and SilverWhite aluminum coatings serve as the topcoat on a new FARR system, or as a standalone maintenance recoat on their own. Both are CRRC-listed and comply with California Title 24 Part 6 Cool Roof requirements, and Western Colloid tests its white acrylic coatings to Energy Star standards as a program partner.
